Just Dance Kids & Just Dance 2

You Don’t Have to be Lady GaGa to Just Dance

What It Is

You don’t need the latest camera-capturing device to turn your living room into a dance party. All you need is a Wii and Just Dance Kids or Just Dance 2 to get the party started. Both games from Ubisoft feature a collection of more than 40 songs, each with on-screen dance instructions that you have to perform and master.

Why It’s Fun

Both Just Dance games are all about getting up and having fun. Players hold the Wii-Remote while dancing, which is how the game knows if you are striking the proper pose. It is just as entertaining to watch someone try to follow the onscreen instructions and master the dance moves as it is doing it yourself.

Both games are packed with a wide variety of songs making sure that everyone playing will find their favorite track. Just Dance Kids includes pop and hip-hop songs re-recorded by kids, for kids. The songs include pre-school hits such as “The Wheels on The Bus”, “Hot Potato” by The Wiggles and “Party In My Tummy” from Yo Gabba Gabba. There are also songs for older kids including “One Time”, “Who Let The Dogs Out” and “Kids In America”.

Just Dance 2 includes music for all ages with an emphasis on teens and adults. Songs in this game are by the original artists and include “TikTok” by Ke$ha, “That’s Not My Name” by The Tings Tings, “I Want You Back” by The Jackson5, “Hey Ya!” by Outkast and “Call Me” by Blondie.

Who’s Going To Love It

Just Dance Kids is going to be a huge hit with the youngest kids in your household. They will love dancing to their favorite Wiggles and Yo Gabba Gabba songs.

Kids, teens and adults will love Just Dance 2.

What To Be Aware Of

The only thing you need for these games is the Wii and a remote. You don’t need a dance pad or camera controller like other dance games currently available.

These are active games that you need to get up and move around during so you will need plenty of space in front of the TV.

Because of the large number of songs on both games and ability to download new songs on Just Dance 2, both Just Dance games can be played repeatedly.

Fun Scale

3 out of 5

It has to be fun or it wouldn’t be on Time to Play. But some games are more fun than others so here’s our scale: 1 is fun, 2 is a lot of fun, 3 is great, 4 is awesome and 5 is out-of-this-world!
